• In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

The key conventions on my magazine cover is the masthead. This shows the title of the magazine and is the biggest piece of text on the cover. Ive also made sure i have used an eye catching image to help interest the audience into buying it. All magazines have coverlines, so i have made sure i have interpreted some into mine. Overall i think i have used all the conventions as a normal magazine, except using some effects that often bigger titles have.

• How does your media product represent particular social groups?

In my magazine i have tried to represent the students at the college, by using stereotypical opinions of a typical teen boy. On my front cover i have a photo of two teenage boys one playing guitar the other watching. I think this represents what teenagers relate too, through their music.

• What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

The college might distribute my student magazine, and the student council can sponsor my magazine.

textual analysis

The image on the front of the cover is of the inbetweeners which is a british sit com shown through the life of an 'everyday' teenager. This links to the reader more as it is an up todate 'teen comedy' and helps connect to the reader. The bold lettering helps stand out for a funner, cooler design. Compared to other college magazines it has a more versatile cover and just relates a lot better to people with a car as they also base their acting around their car very often. The boldest lettering on the magazine is the mast head this shows that the magazine is to do with first time drivers, which couldhelp provide information to the readers. The second biggest is the title of the magazine which is 'the inbetweeners'. This is the main link towards the readers.
